Discovering Dental Health Through Play 

At Kita nxt generation, everything recently revolved around the topic of healthy teeth. Together with the dental service of the public health department, the children were able to learn in a playful way why dental care is so important and how to brush their teeth properly. 

With the help of a cuddly toy – Nils the hippo – and a large toothbrush, the children first explored together how to brush their teeth correctly. Afterwards, they put what they had learned directly into practice: in small groups, they practiced brushing with their own toothbrushes and even tried out different toothbrushing rhymes. 

In this way, the topic of dental health was presented to the children in a clear and engaging manner. Regular brushing, a healthy diet, and early visits to the dentist form the foundation for strong, healthy teeth. For this reason, the team from the public health department will now visit several times a year to revisit and expand on what the children have learned in a playful way.
