Visit to Didacta: New impulses for our bilingual work

Learning and gaining experience is not only part of everyday life for our daycare children: our bilingual colleagues Maria and Matilda visited Didacta in Cologne, Europe’s largest education fair, where they took part in various workshops focused on multilingualism in early childhood education. The insights and experiences they gained can now be directly applied in their work with the youngest learners.

The exchange with experts, as well as the latest findings from pedagogy and research, provide valuable inspiration for our daily work at the daycare center. Particularly in the field of bilingual early childhood development, our colleagues discovered exciting approaches that demonstrate how children can explore and develop multiple languages in a natural and playful way.

The visit to Didacta supports our ongoing commitment to further strengthen our approach: to guide children in the best possible way in their linguistic and personal development and to continuously enhance our bilingual focus.

Didacta in Cologne is Europe’s most important and largest education fair, covering all relevant educational topics – from early childhood and school education to extracurricular institutions. As a central meeting point for educators, education providers, and decision-makers, it offers excellent opportunities to expand professional networks. This year’s event featured more than 1,000 lectures, panels, and workshops on topics such as didactics, early childhood education, tech tools, digitalization, and AI.

We look forward to integrating these new impulses into our daily daycare routine and continuing to actively support the language development of our children.
