One Year of nxt generation 

One year ago, our company kindergarten nxt generation opened its doors at Innovation Square in Wietmarschen-Lohne. Since then, its bright rooms, spacious movement hall and extensive outdoor area have been filled with life.

Throughout its first year, the children made lanterns and sang in German and English at the Festival of Lights in the atrium, in front of more than 50 Rosenxt employees. During the festive season, a gold workshop and a family Advent café created creative and cosy moments. Carnival was celebrated with exciting weeks of experiments. As autumn explorers, the children visited a pumpkin farm; at Easter, they baked and dyed eggs. A family picnic brought everyone together for Mother’s and Father’s Day, while many little handprints transformed the entrance door into one big heart. 

There were also outings and walks in the local area - to visit the donkeys, for example, or to explore the parents’ offices. Further highlights included the mini sports badge, complete with certificate and medal, as well as a project week all about the fire service, including a visit to a fire engine. 

On 28 August 2026, it was time to celebrate the very first birthday. Together with their educators, the children created a large and colourful birthday cake, while Lakeside surprised everyone with a delicious birthday cake of its own. And of course, the joyful birthday circle would not have been complete without a birthday song. 

One year full of first experiences, new friendships and shared discoveries. We would like to thank all the families who have been part of this journey from the very beginning, and the team who bring nxt generation to life every day. We look forward to all that the second year will bring.
